Hayter sign Hayter has been supporting professional gardeners and hobbyists for decades with specialist lawnmowers, accessories and power tools.

This extends to the modern age of social media, where we in the Hayter team often spend our time revelling in the beautiful lawns and gardens submitted to us with the hashtag #HayterStripes.

To extend our support again, we’ve highlighted the fantastic work of some of the brilliant gardening influencers we’ve stumbled upon scrolling through the Hayter Instagram page.

If you aren’t following these influencers, you’re really missing out – they take social media gardening to the next level!

AlexandersGardening

Alexander is a top-shelf UK-based gardener. He’s a skilled topiarist, mower, landscaper and can tackle just about anything you throw at him with his green thumbs.

Alexander’s before and after lawn renovation videos always blow us away, with his intricate knowledge on not only how to maintain a lawn, but also save damaged lawns which were once thought too far gone for saving.

Alexander uses a range of mowing equipment, depending on the renovation, including his Harrier 48 PRO.

His page is a joy to follow, and with 171k Instagram followers, he’s become a famous gardener who deserves all the success coming his way.

HeavenOnTurf

Heaven On Turf is run by a West Yorkshire-based lawncare specialist who produces stunning videos of huge lawn repair projects.

Unlike other Instagram gardening influencers, many of his videos are shot with a drone, meaning his clips are seen from high in the sky with a birds-eye view of stripes so long that you’ll need a magnifying glass!

If you need motivation to tackle that huge job on the horizon, Heaven On Turf is the page to follow.

TenGardeningServices

Ten Gardening Services should be everyone’s go-to Instagram page for creative lawn stripe inspiration.

Tom Nash, the man behind the mower, never fails to produce innovative designs for his clients’ lawns. Whether the stripes are cut in a tartan pattern, crisscrossed or curved, Tom will make it work and then some!

We love a trailblazer at Hayter, which is why Ten Gardening Services are more than worth a follow.

Adavison.gardener

Ash Davison, the professional gardener behind ADavison.Gardener, is a Royal Horticultural Society-qualified Horticulturalist.

Any keen gardener will find thousands of posts containing helpful gardening tips, luscious photos of flowers in bloom and more than a few perfectly cut lawn stripes.

He definitely fits the bill of “your favourite gardener’s favourite gardener”, and we are always excited to see what he does next.

Ash is a champion for all kinds of specialist lawn equipment, and we are always thrilled to see him find joy in using the Harrier 48 PRO and Hawk 36 60V for tough lawn jobs.

DiaryOfAYorkshireGardener

Franchesca Chadwick, the homegrown master behind Diary Of A Yorkshire Gardener, has been building her follower base over the years – joining the ranks of famous women gardeners who light up our news feed.

We love to turn to Franchesca’s page when we need some home-growing inspiration, after all, we’re lawn people – not vegetable patch people!

As lovers of gardening one and all, pages like Franchesca’s are fantastic when we need some guidance on our homegrown fruits and vegetables.

She started her page in 2020, and since she has been featured on Gardener’s World! From a garden social media influencer to a famous gardener on TV, we think this trajectory was well deserved!

How to become a successful gardening influencer

Are you hoping to grow your social media following? Trying to break through and raise a following of your own can seem daunting at first, but we’ve managed to gather some helpful tips over the years.

Find your niche: whether it’s inventive lawn stripes or in-depth tutorials, the best gardening influencers gain a loyal following by being the best at what they do. Most keen gardeners follow multiple influencers, so ask yourself, “What are people visiting my page to see?”

Let your personality shine: gardening is an expressive profession, and we love to see gardeners who wear their passions on their sleeves! Don’t feel your feed has to be all work, all the time.

Network, network, network: the UK gardening community is close-knit, you’ll often find that influencers and professionals comment, like and share each other’s work all the time. This is a great way for new potential followers to find your page.

Make your page stand out: Investing in high-quality photos and videos isn’t as technical as it once was – most modern smartphone cameras are incredible! Play around with your phone’s camera settings and learn how to take the perfect shot. Once you’ve found a style you like, tailor your page around a certain look or aesthetic.
